Soda

PharmaVital soda tablets contain sodium bicarbonate and zinc. Zinc helps to establish a normal acid base metabolism. Sodium bicarbonate is mainly used in the treatment of illnesses that result from increased acid production. For example it is used in cases of overacidity of the blood, known as acidosis, to increase the pH level of the blood. It can, of course, also be used to treat heartburn and inflammation of the oesophagus. In this case it alleviates the pain, by binding together with excess gastric acid.
